During the summer of 2011, I was studying for the California Bar Exam and my Nani was living with us in California. I was extremely lucky to have her support as she was crucial to my success on the Exam. Every morning, Nani made me a fresh breakfast and packed me a nutritious homemade lunch. As a treat, she’d give me a few homemade energy bars that I could sneak in as a snack during my morning class. They were absolutely delicious, nutritious, and easy to eat. They are also so easy to make and now I eat them regularly after workouts or if I’m in need of a power bar during a long day.
